At Medford Radiology Group Interventional Clinic, we specialize in helping to relieve your chronic pain. Through an in-depth consultation, our physicians will determine which procedure is right for you.
Pain Relief Injections
Pain relief injections are a non-surgical treatment option to relieve back or joint pain. They are an alternative to oral medication, physical therapy, or more invasive surgery. These injections are used to deliver an anti-inflammatory solution or medication directly to the source of pain. Depending on the type of injection, your pain relief may be long-lasting, while some pain relief may only be temporary.
Nerve Blocks
Your physician may recommend a nerve block to treat the underlying cause of your pain. By injecting an anesthetic into a certain area of the body, your doctor can then work to pinpoint the location and cause of chronic pain. Nerve blocks are used to alleviate pain from nerve damage, herniated disc, degenerative disc disease, spinal stenosis, and more. They may also be used to provide pain relief after surgery, or as an alternative to more invasive surgeries. Our physicians may use a nerve block to treat:
- Back Pain
- Neck Pain
- Joint Pain
- Sciatica
Platelet-Rich Plasma Injections
Platelet-rich plasma injections are a regenerative therapy that use your body’s own platelets to stimulate healing. Rather than cloaking long term injuries in temporary relief, these injections stimulate the body’s healing system by triggering a natural inflammatory response. Multiple sessions encourage growth of normal cells and tissues while promoting faster healing of sports related injuries such as ligament and tendon damage as well as providing relief from chronic back and neck pain.
Sphenopalatine Ganglion Blocks
This specialized type of nerve block helps to effectively treat chronic and acute headaches, including migraines. During the treatment, a local anesthetic is delivered to a group of sensory nerves behind the nose. The injection blocks or reduces pain signals from a region that typically causes severe head, nasal, or facial pain.

We have an on-site reading room staffed by one of our interventional radiologists.
